Wrexham's happiest workplace to host PR and marketing professionals

A leading body for the public relations (PR) industry is holding an event in Wrexham to tackle two hot topics facing PR and marketing professionals.

Wrexham's happiest workplace to host PR and marketing professionals

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is holding its ‘Getting Creative and Dealing With Mental Health’ seminar at Moneypenny’s head office.

An estimated 70 million workdays are lost due to mental health issues per year in the UK, and a CIPR survey earlier this year found that 16 per cent of PR professionals suffer from a mental health condition.

Life coach Joe O’Connor will address delegates with tips on how to manage mental health while working, reduce stress and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Hannah Stringer, Moneypenny's head of marketing, will talk about the how the company’s PR and marketing department gets creative to develop their ideas.

Hannah heads up a team that explores innovative ways of reaching audiences from digital marketing tactics to the business’ branded socks.

The evening will start with a tour of the building, which was designed to be the  ‘happiest workplace in the UK’ and has been named one of Britain’s best offices by the British Council for Offices.

The telephone-answering firm’s headquarters boast an on-site pub, tree house, and modern, multi-purpose spaces for employees to work in.

"Mental health is a growing issue amongst PR and marketing professionals, so the event will offer support and guidance to employers and employees alike. "
Anthony Bullick

Tickets for the event, which takes place on Wednesday 27 June from 5pm to 7:30pm, costs £20 plus VAT for CIPR members and £25 plus VAT for non-members.

Anthony Bullick, vice chair of CIPR North West and director at Mold-based digital PR agency Outwrite PR said: “We’re hosting this event to discuss two pertinent topics in the industry right now.

“Brands face a huge challenge to get their message across with an increase in channels and people vying for your stakeholders’ attention. We’re grateful to Hannah for discussing how Moneypenny successfully stands out from the crowd.

“Mental health is a growing issue amongst PR and marketing professionals, so the event will offer support and guidance to employers and employees alike. We’re looking forward to hearing the advice Joe has for attendees.

“Moneypenny is the perfect venue for the evening as it is one of the most creative organisations in the UK, and it’s well known that its bright, positive culture for employees has led to a happy workforce.”
